Revolutionary because it allows a real hands on experience with the process that enabled the information age.  Now, for the first time, large numbers of undergraduates can design, build (really build) and test their own devices using the same basic process used in industry.  The individual process steps are a goldmine of experiments and learning experiences in physics, chemistry, electronics, photonics, material science,  mathematics, and engineering.  The system is rugged and reliable.  One of the most unique features of Modu-Lab is the upgrade ability designed into the product that allows the addition of alternative instruments and other user developed devices.
